Alan Tudyk

Firefly star Alan Tudyk has joined the cast of Transformers 3, directed by Michael Bay and produced by Steven Spielberg.

Paramount confirmed the casting to The Wrap while keeping silent as to the details of Tudyk’s role. The entire plot of the third Transformers film has been kept under wraps so far.

Tudyk is best known for his work on Joss Whedon’s Firefly and Dollhouse series; he has also appeared in such films as Dodgeball, A Knight’s Tale, and 3:10 to Yuma.

The growing cast list of Transformers 3 includes John Malkovich, Frances McDormand, Ken Jeong, and Patrick Dempsey, as well as a number of returning stars from the first two films. Filming on the third installment begins this month.
