Alan Tudyk - "Vampire Hunter" Movie - He joins the cast

Alan Tudyk joins ’Vampire Hunter’

"Firefly" star Alan Tudyk has been cast as Stephen A. Douglas in 20th Century Fox’s adaptation of "Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter."

Timur Bekmambetov is directing the 3D summer tentpole from a script by author Seth Grahame-Smith. Helmer is also producing the project along with Tim Burton and Jim Lemley.

Benjamin Walker is set for the title role; cast also includes Anthony Mackie, Dominic Cooper, Mary Elizabeth Winstead and Jimmi Simpson.

Tudyk is a genre fan favorite who next stars in the Anchor Bay drama "Beautiful Boy." Thesp has a supporting role in Michael Bay’s "Transformers: Dark of the Moon" and was recently cast as a lead in ABC comedy pilot "Suburgatory."

"Vampire Hunter" is skedded for release on June 22, 2012.

Tudyk is repped by Gersh and Coronel Group.
