THE CAST OF "HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER" GOES BEHIND THE CAMERAS FOR AN INSIDE LOOK INTO THE MAKING OF THE HIT SERIES
Never Before Seen Footage to Be Featured on CBS.com for One Week Beginning Monday, April 24
If you ever wanted to find out what goes into the making of a comedy series, now is your chance. Each day during the week of April 24, a different cast member of the hit CBS comedy HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER will go behind the scenes to offer viewers an inside look at what it really takes to produce a 30 minute sitcom. These never before seen segments will be available exclusively on CBS.com.
Beginning Monday April 24, HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER stars Neil Patrick Harris, Alyson Hannigan, Cobie Smulders, Josh Radnor and Jason Segel will take viewers backstage with an exclusive tour of the set, a first hand look at the weekly table read, cast rehearsal loaded with bloopers, camera blocking and the filming of the show. CBS.com will also offer interviews with crew members including the writers and director, as well as humorous and candid moments with the actors, including costume changes and hair/make-up. The week-long CBS.com series will also include music from the band The88, who will be performing on the show.
The special behind-the-scenes look was documented during the filming of the HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER episode “Best Prom Ever” and will lead up to that episode airing on Monday, May 1 (8:30-9:00 PM, ET/PT), on the CBS Television Network.
In the episode, Lily and Marshall need the gang’s help when their wedding is moved up and now only two months away. Duties are divided — Lily, Robin and Barney crash a high school prom to check out a potential band, while Ted and Marshall stuff wedding invitations on what was intended to be a boy’s night out on the town. While at the prom, Lily remembers all of the things she wanted to do after graduation and how many plans were derailed due to her relationship with Marshall. Pamela Fryman directed the episode written by Ira Ungerleider.
