Amy Acker has become something of a Joss Whedon regular thanks to her roles in projects like Angel, Dollhouse and Much Ado About Nothing, but she hasn’t yet been a part of his stake in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. That’s not likely to change anytime soon, she told Spinoff Online during a roundtable New York Comic Con interview for Person of Interest.

Whedon is developing a S.H.I.E.L.D. television drama for ABC that he announced today will star Clark Gregg as the fan-favorite Agent Coulson. Although the series will feature an ensemble cast of character, Acker said she won’t be playing any of them.

“I don’t think I’ll be involved in S.H.I.E.L.D. but I’m very excited about S.H.I.E.L.D.” she said. “I think it’s going to be a great show.”

That said, she definitely wants to work with Whedon again. In addition to Much Ado, she hopes that he keeps having parts for her in his projects.

“I just did Much Ado About Nothing with Joss, so we have that,” she said. It’s very exciting, that will be coming out in the spring. I hope I get the chance to work with him again. He’s obviously a very important part of my life and my career. It’s a lucky person to get to say what they write, and it’s always really good.”
