Just read this on the Comics Continuum site in a story about IDW announcing some new titles.

"Additionally, John Byrne will present a stand-alone Angel mini-series next year, Angel: Blood and Trenches, telling a tale of Angel’s experiences during World War I."

Writing and penciling by John Byrne. Plan is to shoot from the pencils. Four parts.
