Anthony Head

The sitcom produced by Elton John and starring Kim Cattrall has been rejected.

As we reported some time back, the flamboyant singer was working on a sitcom called Him and Us’, following the life of a gay rock star and his entourage.

The lead character Max Flash would have been based on various musicians including Elton, with Buffy’s Anthony Head in the role. Head would have been ably supported by the former Sex and The City star Kim Cattrall.

Much like the Al Murray story we posted yesterday, a pilot was actually made for US networks, with Elton doing his best Dennis Waterman impression by writing and singing the theme tune.

However, a spokesman for the singer confirmed that the pilot has not been picked up.

Wonder if the killing stroke came when they heard the theme tune...
