Buffy Is A Wonder Woman

Two stars of recently finished US series Buffy the Vampire Slayer are competing to become the new Wonder Woman.

Former Buffy star Sarah Michelle Gellar is top of the list to take the lead role in the remake of the 1970s cult classic, according to the Daily Star.

However Charisma Carpenter, who stars in Buffy spin-off Angel, could also land the role.

"Charisma is a strong contender and she’s equally as sexy," a movie insider said.

Meanwhile, another former Buffy star is about to make her mark on the London stage.

Alyson Hannigan, who played Willow, stars in When Harry Met Sally, which starts in the West End next week.

She will star alongside Luke Perry, who found fame in Beverly Hills 90210, in the stage version of the hit film.

    I can’t believe anyone would think of SMG as "Wonder Woman". A vampire slayer with mystical strenght is one thing - Wonder Woman is a whole other gig. First of all you need to be quite tall. Second, athletic like an athlete, not "actress athletic". Jennifer Garner, SMG (and so on) are "actress athletic"... or just "skinny", whatever you want.

    Isn’t this the very reason Sarah wanted to end Buffy anyway? Not to be typecast? Charisma is WAY sexier and actually has a body that can fill Wonder Woman’s outfit.. I say give it to her. Let Sarah make 10 more Scooby-Doo’s.

    I think it’s safe to say that these days, Charisma Carpenter is much more sexy than Sarah Michelle Gellar. I also think that Buffy and Angel fans would much rather see Charisma as Wonder Woman than SMG, not least because of the way Sarah has ignored requests for her to appear in Angel this season.

    I LIKE SARAH GELLAR VERY MUCH...BUT I THINK CHARISMA CARPENTER WOULD FIT THE PART....I CAN IMAGINE HER IN THE PART AS WONDER WOMEN......SO HERES HOPE-ING CHARISMA GETS THE PART.....SHED BE GREAT.
