Buffy’s no Vampire Killer and Her Mousing Days are Gone

BOISE - There’s still a week to adopt an older animal in honor of Adopt-a-Senior-Pet month so this week Northwest Animal Companions brought in 16-year old Buffy. Buffy is a persian-mix.

Buffy was rescued along with a large number of animals in a well-known hoarding case in Fruitland several years ago. She’s been living in a special cattery built by NAC volunteers which is very comfortable but never meant as a long term home. Because Buffy is a little long in the tooth, she’s rather set in her way and doesn’t get along with other animals. She is, however, very affectionate with humans.

She doesn’t have any special medical problems right now but older cats do tend to be fragile and need a certain amount of monitoring to make sure they are eating right and eliminating properly. Because she is part persian she needs help with grooming and must be brushed and bathed regularly. She only has one tooth which means that although she can gum away at regular kibble she needs wet food to maintain her weight

It would mean a lot to get Buffy a good home for her final years.

If you’re interested in adopting Buffy, call NAC at 429-6600.
