One thing I figured out a long time ago is that Charisma Carpenter is no actress.She couldn’t act on Buffy or Angel and now she only gets jobs if she shows her body.Really sad that she hasn’t gotten the hint by now. But money is money I guess.

"But money is money I guess". Well, in that one regard, we agree. To be honest, acting on the professional level in principle is usually just following a set of instructions in exchange for pay, like most other jobs. The end is more practical than the means.

She’s a great actress, and with all due respect, she was great in BTVS, ATS (except ATS 4 but that was the writers fault with the stupid and unlinear plot) and also in Jane’s Date ; Miss Match (the same producers that Sex and the City) ; The Division, LAX, she got the lead role of her own sitcom but for shedule problems it was not picked up (VM was the one chosen so UPN didn’t have more space) ; her character in Charmed ruled in the third episode and also she got the lead role at Kitchen Confidential, but Berman didn’t want two people with too much identification with one series in that show and NB was hired already. Also, her role in VM started as a bimbo but that was just a distraction about all the plans Kendall had, and she showed more intelligence than the rest of the characters. Also, she didn’t have to take her clothes off in that horror movie, or in the comedy she filmed, or the new movie is going to air the next month......
And for acting, I think CC proved that she had more range than a lot of others ATS/BTVS actress. She and Emma Caufiled and also Amber Benson. AH was horrible at VM, AP,That 70’s (the same with ED in that show, sorry) and it’s a weak link for HIMYM. The press called ED in True Calling the two facial expresion’s actress and also SMG was horrible in that romantic comedy ; in Harvard man (that was more explicit than this) and at the Grudge (catathonic, they called her)..... CC got always good to excellent reviews even when the movie/series was bad And also all the press and fans said her presence in ONE episode of ATS 5 just made them notice how they missed her and how essencial she was. She blow off the map the other characters, specially female ones..... So, yes, you’re stupid....

Theres a reason why SMG got the role of Buffy and CC didn’t.

IMO Charisma is one of the best Btvs/Ats actresses. Her character went through a lot of changes and she played every bit perfectly. She was also fabulous on Veronica Mars as a bad girl and in a more ligh-hearted role on Miss Match. I admire her ability to transform and to portray all aspects of a certain character. So what if she did a nude scene ! Many people do it nowadays. If she has a great body and not afraid to show it, more power to her ! Go Charisma !

I agree about CC’s capacity to play a lot of differents characters. She didn’t play the Miss Match spoiled girl like another cordelia when they have the similar background, she gave Serena another color and that shows and needs a lot of talent. Also, and I don’t think this is a SMG vs CC or AH vs CC or whatever, about SMG getting the role ? Well, Sarah was a kid actor, she was raised in this. CC started when she was almost 20 and don’t forget what the producers of BTVS said about that : besides the experience of Sarah, CC was way hotbabe to be Buffy, that they needed someone more normal, average (the rumors says SMG was not happy about those comments). And getting a role ? Well, I think Ellem Pompeo on Grey’s Anatomy, Deschanel on Bones, the Point Pleasant girl, etc shows that talent and getting luck in a casting are not the same.... And I’m not saying at all that this was the case of Sarah, but it’s not an argument to say someone has talent... But I mostly agree with the answer to that anonimous poster

I think she should be more careful about films. She can do more than just showing her body. We now that she’s beautiful. Another sad thing : "In Charisma Carpenter Graphics :"- only nude, nude, nude.

hollywood is all about looks and charisma carpenter has looks let’s be real about that. it isn’y about talent and hasn’t been about talent in god knows how long. sooner or later you compromise especially if you want to keep working in the buisness. no charisma isn’t as well any of the other buffy people were exceptional talent but she’s hot and really couldn’t carry a feature movie like wonder woman.

I think both CC and SMG are good actresses, but in different area’s (CC face expression, SMG voice) But Charisma might age more gracefully, and I see no reason why she should not exploid that if it gives her bigger roles to prove herself in. I believe the Buffy-cast in general was pretty brilliant -although sadly underused in the last two seasons.
On a different note (to spin away of this fight), I have mixed emotions about her not showing more skin on Buffy and Angel.
On one side, I’m proud that the show managed to carry itself so good without showing skin, and that it kept the attention on writing and acting. (positive).
On the second side, I am disappointed that with so much hot actresses we got so little skin, especially now CC prooves to be willing to show it off in other shows, and what we missed all those years. It was not the timeslot (see Charmed) or the network (see UPN-Buffy) that they didn’t show more. (negative)
On the third side, I believe we guys have gotten the short end of the stick in the male/female ration of near-nudety on the show (negative)
Ending with the forth side of the square, seeing what more skin did to Buffy S6 (or the required larger budget), I’m not sure the writers would have been able to handle well, it required less subtilety from the writing and acting then no-skin. (positive again).
