LOS ANGELES (Zap2it.com) Fast National ratings for Sunday, July 18, 2004 CBS easily won Sunday’s overall ratings crown, while ABC remodeled its way to a victory in the advertisers’ favorite demographic. For the night, CBS averaged a 6.9 rating/12 share, finishing more than two ratings points ahead of ABC, 4.7/8. NBC was a close third at 4.5/8. FOX, 2.6/5, came in fourth, beating The WB, 1.4/3. ABC led in the ad-friendly adults 18-49 demographic with a 3.1 rating, thanks mostly to "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition." NBC and FOX tied for second at 2.2. CBS averaged 1.9 and The WB 0.9. CBS grabbed the lead at 7 p.m. with "60 Minutes," 7.6/15. "America’s Funniest Home Videos," 4.0/8, was second for ABC. The Olympic trials in track and field posted a 3.0/6 for NBC. Repeats of "King of the Hill" and "Malcolm in the Middle" put FOX in fourth, ahead of "Steve Harvey’s Big Time" on The WB. "Cold Case," 7.9/15, kept CBS in first place at 8 p.m. NBC’s Olympic trials coverage and ABC’s "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" tied for second at 4.2/8. FOX averaged 2.9/5 with "The Simpsons" and "Arrested Development." The WB went with an episode of "Charmed." At 9 p.m., a second "EM: Home Edition," 6.1/11, gave ABC an hourly win. The CBS movie "Dodson’s Journey" was second at 5.9/11. NBC’s "Law & Order: Criminal Intent" came in third. Reruns of "The Simple Life 2" and "Quintuplets" kept FOX ahead of The WB, which got a 1.5/2 from a second hour of "Charmed." CBS’ movie drew a 6.1/11 to finish the 10 p.m. hour in the lead.
