Christian Kane - "Leverage" Tv Series - He will perform a song Sunday

Sunday 18 July 2010, by Webmaster

"Angel" fans have long known that Christian Kane has a mighty fine voice and a way with a ballad. Now, it’s time for "Leverage" fans to find out the same thing for themselves.

At the end of this coming Sunday’s episode, "The Studio Job" (July 18), Kane - who plays "hitter" Eliot Spencer - will perform his real-life single, "Thinking of You." (Immediately after the episode, you’ll be able to download the track on iTunes.)

The song, says Kane, "is a passionate, heartfelt good-bye kiss that also sort of slaps the person in the face to say that even if they hate you they will never forget they loved you."

I’m just going to go ahead and assume that the song will make the final cut for his upcoming full-length album due out this October. For a taste of what you can expect, download the first single, "The House Rules," for free here. (Do it, you won’t regret it - it’s a really fun, boot-stompin’, country, party track.)

And, if you like that, you can buy his five song EP, which is acting as a stop gap until the CD comes out. The EP has already reached No. 5 on Billboard’s Heatseeker’s Chart and No. 3 on the iTunes Country Chart.

And, if you like that, then you should do everything in your power to track down a copy of his original album, "Kane." It’s been out of print for years, but songs like "Oklahoma State of Mind," "Sweet Carolina Rain" and "Crazy in Love" are well worth the effort.

Don’t forget to stay tuned for "The House Rules" music video, directed by "Leverage" co-star Timothy Hutton. It’ll be debut later this summer. I’ve also heard tell of a radio tour happening once Kane wraps up filming on "Leverage," which might just include a stop in NYC...
