THE focus is on beautiful Australian celebrities this year as Who Weekly publishes its annual Sexiest People edition.

Last year just nine Australians made the list of attractive celebrities but this time 12 locals made the cut, if you include honorary Aussie, X Factor judge Ronan Keating.

The former Boyzone singer feels he’s got sexier with age.

"I’ve got more confidence within myself as I’ve gotten older," he says.

"Men are lucky, I suppose I think we benefit from age. I feel I’ve grown into my looks if that makes sense."

He also cites confidence as an attractive trait in a woman.

"Confidence. Class and beauty in a woman is very sexy too," he says.

The cover features the hot Australian trio of model Jennifer Hawkins, singer and X Factor host Natalie Imbruglia and Packed to the Rafters actress Jessica Marais.

Hawkins says she feels her sexiest when she’s listening to R&B; music.

"It doesn’t matter where I am, at home or out dancing, as soon as it’s turned on I feel sexy," she says.

"When I put a pair of heels on I also get an instant jolt of sexiness."

While she has no criteria for what she finds sexy in a man she says some sort of connection is vital.

"Men’s bodies are a beautiful thing! I don’t have a criteria, though. You’ve either got a connection with someone or you don’t. Having sexual chemistry is a big tick."

Other Australian women on the list include pop star Kylie Minogue, model Lara Bingle and singers Jessica Mauboy and Tamara Jaber.

The only Aussie man, other than Keating, to make the top 25 is cricketer Michael Clarke.

International stars to make the sexy list include True Blood actor Joe Manganiello, Mad Men actress Christina Hendricks and Twilight vampire Robert Pattinson.
