Thursday 15 June 2006, by Webmaster

CinemaNow has added Fox Entertainment Group to its list of recent licensing agreements with studios and broadcasting networks.

The Tuesday deal, made between Marina Del Ray-based Cinema Now and News Corp.’s (NYSE: NWS) Fox Entertainment Group, lets CinemaNow sell downloads of 20th Century Fox movies, like "The Ringer" and "Cheaper by the Dozen 2" starting Tuesday. The deal will also include access to television shows like "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" and the first season of "24" starting in July. It will also include shows from Fox Broadcasting networks FX, Fuel TV and Speed, as well as the 20th Century Fox television library.

Video downloads can be kept permanently by customers with unlimited playback on up to three Microsoft Windows Media-compatible devices.

CinemaNow has a library of more than 4,000 videos licensed from Hollywood studios and networks, including Sony Corp.’s (NYSE: SNE) Sony Pictures Home Entertainment; Lions Gate Entertainment Corp. (NYSE: LGF); NBC Universal; Warner Bros. Entertainment, a unit of Time Warner Inc. (NYSE: TWX); and Disney’s (NYSE: DIS) Buena Vista Home Entertainment.
