MID-OHIO-CON RETURNS TO COLUMBUS, OHIO ON THANKSGIVING WEEKEND.

On November 27 & 28, Mid-Ohio-Con, one of America’s longest running and most popular comic book and pop culture events, will celebrate it’s 25th annual show.

Mid-Ohio-Con offers fans and collectors a wide variety of special guests, programs, activities and an off the chart amount of collectible merchandise. A great way to kick off the holiday shopping season for comic book collectors and lovers of pop culture “goodies”, Mid-Ohio-Con’s vendor list is a veritable “who’s who” of the industry’s best. Collectors will find an exciting assortment of golden, silver and current age comics, plus anime merchandise, toys, clothing, videos, DVDs, movie & TV memorabilia and much more.

The list of celebrity guests scheduled to appear has topped 130 of the best talents in comics and pop culture media. On the media side, look for Delaware, Ohio native Clare Kramer, who starred in the the movie Bring it On and was featured as the delightfully evil "Glory" on TV’s Buffy: The Vampire Slayer. Steve Bacic from the television series Andromeda and Stargate, as well as the movie X-2 will be appearing along with, TV’s classic "Lois Lane", Noel Neil. The list of popular media personalities continues with Lou Ferrigno (The Incredible Hulk), Mark Goddard (Lost in Space) and by popular demand, a return appearance by Larry Thomas, Seinfeld’s "Soup Nazi". This year’s event will also feature superstar comic book creators: Sergio Aragones (MAD), John Byrne (X-Men), Talent Caldwell (Superman), Stan Goldberg (Archie), Marc Hempel (MAD), David Mack (Daredevil), Mike Avon Oeming (Powers), Jeff Smith (Bone) and more, including syndicated cartoonist Tom Batiuk (Funky Winkerbean) and pin-up artist, Dave Nestler! Many of the show’s celebrity guests will be featured in panel programs each day.

Mid-Ohio-Con draws thousands of attendees from all across the US, Canada and Europe. Visitors to the show get the opportunity to enjoy the beautiful Hilton Columbus Hotel and great entertainment, dining and shopping at the fabulous Easton Town Center. Free self-parking is available throughout Easton or attendees can take advantage of valet parking for a nominal fee. While the Hilton Columbus is sold out, several other nearby hotels are still accepting reservations. Mid-Ohio-Con will be Saturday and Sunday, November 27 & 28 at the Hilton Columbus-Easton Town Center in Columbus, Ohio. Show hours are Saturday from 10am to 6pm and Sunday from 10am to 5pm. Tickets are $20 per day with children age 8 and under admitted free when accompanied by a paid adult. Tickets will be on sale at the door starting at 10am each day.
