David Boreanaz - "Bones" Tv Series - Break : Second Season

March 25, 2006 — FOX has ordered a second season of "Bones," its crime drama starring Emily Deschanel.

"Bones" has bounced around the schedule this season but primarily aired in the Tuesday 8 p.m. slot until "American Idol" returned in January. It’s averaged 8.4 million viewers so far this season, according to Nielsen.

Deschanel plays a forensic anthropologist and part-time novelist whose specialty is identifying bodies and solving crimes based on clues left behind in victims’ bones. David Boreanaz plays an FBI homicide investigative agent who often works with her on investigations.

HBO, meanwhile, may revisit "Sex and the City," this time as a reality show.

The cable network is finalizing a deal for an unscripted comedy pilot described as "an attempt to capture the vivacity, sexuality and friendship of women in a big city under the banner of a reality show," sources said.

The pilot comes from "Sex and the City" co-producer and writer Amy Harris.

The pilot order is a rarity for HBO, which has dabbled in some reality series in recent years, including "Family Bonds" and "Project Greenlight."

"Sex," which featured a quartet of women navigating social and romantic challenges in Manhattan, ran from 1998-2004. It starred Cynthia Nixon, Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall and Kristin Davis.

Harris previously wrote for HBO’s short-lived Lisa Kudrow series "The Comeback."
