Harris Reunites with ’Harold & Kumar’

The Notorious N.P.H. will again join forces with the loveable stoners

Where would Neil Patrick Harris be today if it weren’t for a little movie called "Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle"?

Harris, who turned in a brilliantly crazed career-energizing self-parody in the stoner comedy, has signed on to appear in the sequel, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The trade paper actually reveals that a whopping 11 actors have committed to the sequel, tentatively titled "Harold & Kumar 2." That number includes returning stars John Cho and Kal Penn, as well as repeat offenders like David Krumholtz, Christopher Meloni, Eddie Kaye Thomas and Paula Garces. Also coming on board are Ed Helms, Rob Corddry, Jack Conley, Roger Bart, Eric Winter and Danneel Harris.

Jon Hurwitz and Hayden Schlossberg, writers of the original, are scripting and directing the sequel for New Line and Mandate Pictures.

When we left our slider-loving heroes, they were on the verge of setting off to Amsterdam to follow Harold’s long-time crush Paula (Garces). However, when Kumar is mistaken for a terrorist — by a passenger who saw "24" perhaps? — the end up in Guantanamo Bay, beginning an odyssey back across the country.

While it’s unclear where a blow-addled Neil Patrick Harris might fit into that journey, you never know where that wacky guy may turn up.
