’Being Human’ adds Lachman to cast

’Dollhouse’ alum joins for second season of Syfy series

’Being Human’ will return for a second season on Syfy in 2012.

Syfy’s "Being Human" has added former "Dollhouse" regular Dichen Lachman to its regular cast for its upcoming second season.

Lachman, who also has a guest stint in the soon-to-premiere "Torchwood: Miracle Day" on Starz, will play Izumi, a reclusive, centuries-old vampire who causes upheaval when she returns to Boston’s vampire millieu in "Being Human," which in January became Syfy’s most-watched wintertime scripted launch in six years.

Lachman played Sierra on the Joss Whedon-produced "Dollhouse" for Fox.

Season two of "Being Human" will begin production shortly in Montreal for air in 2012.
