ABC has optioned James Patterson’s mystery-novel series Women’s Murder Club — which centers on four female crime-solving friends — from director Brett Ratner (the Prison Break pilot, X-Men: The Last Stand) and two writers from The WB’s defunct Angel (Liz Craft and Sarah Fain).
