Felicia Day - About her career - IGN’s Keepin’ It Reel, Episode 77 Podcast

Friday 26 February 2010, by Webmaster

The Knights of Good battle the Geeks of Gaming when... Well, wait a minute. That’s not right. OK... The fair Cleric Codex matches wits against the Damsel of DVD in a... Yeah, that didn’t happen either. Alright, here’s what really happened. Creator and star of popular Web series The Guild, Felicia Day joins IGN’s Chris Carle, Eric Moro and Cindy White for a rousing special edition of the Keepin’ It Reel podcast.

On the talking block is last week’s release of The Guild: Season Three on DVD, as well as the title’s unique distribution model via CreateSpace DVD on-Demand. We also go into the nitty gritty of the show dishing on the various behind the scenes shenanigans, treading on spoilerific plotlines, and discussing potential guest stars a la Wil Wheaton’s run as this past season’s villain, Fawkes.

Day also touches on her love of comics, not only pimping out the three-issue The Guild series she wrote for Dark Horse Comics, but also chiming in with her thoughts on the recent Captain America casting scuttlebutt, the news that David Goyer will indeed be scripting a Superman: Man of Steel feature film, and her true feelings on Christopher Nolan’s revamp of the Batman movie franchise. Of course, World of Warcraft was also touched upon — both the game and the Sam Raimi-directed movie currently in the works — as was her desire to finally finish Mass Effect before the weekend’s through.

Last but not least, we couldn’t let her leave the building (no, I mean it — we’ve got her locked up in our vault with the rest of our valued collectibles) without getting her to comment on the rumored Buffy the Vampire Slayer feature film reboot and the possibility of a sequel to 2008’s Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog.
