What’s your worst fear? Drowning? Fear of heights? Clowns?

Well, whatever makes your skin crawl it just might be covered in the upcoming movie Worst Nightmares:

"Seems Australia is breeding a cool-as-coke pool of talented horror filmmakers.

"Hot on the heels of Greg McLean’s “Wolf Creek” and Jamie Blanks’ “Storm Warning”, Producer Alan Robinson’s “Worst Nightmares” is another upcoming Aussie-produced scarefest that’s generating some great buzz in the lead up to its release.

"Written by acclaimed writer Shane Briant (whose terrific “A Message from Falluah” was erroneously left out of Oscar contention a couple of years back), “Nightmares” tells of a serial killer who knocks off his victims based on what their particular fear is - be it a fear of drowning, a fear of heights, or in my case, a fear of being sentenced to watch “Full House” re-runs on loop for a weekend.

" "The story centres on Pulitzer Prize winning author Tom Nolan, who is lured into a trap to incriminate himself in the death of six murder victims who appear to be identical to the victims from his latest best seller, who all mysteriously die by means of their own Worst Nightmare. A copycat killer or something more sinister? A serial killer has set up a diabolical plan, via an internet site, www.worstnightmares.com, to exact his private revenge on each of the victims while settling an old score with Tom, ultimately stealing his wife and his life while subjecting him to his very own worst nightmare.

" “It’s a really great script”, Robinson tells Moviehole from his Sydney office. “We plan to shoot it this Summer in Los Angeles”.

"A high-calibre cast has already expressed interest in the film, he tells. Its believed that Greg Kinnear, Bridget Moynahan, Lance Henriksen and Michael Vartan may be in early talks. “He would be the serial killer. I think he’d be great - something very different for him”, says Robinson, of the actor who next headlines fellow Aussie Greg McLean’s “Rogue”.

"Directing is Frederick King Keller, a veteran of TV and film work, best known in recent times for his work on “24”. Keller also directed several episodes of TVs “Angel”, including the fan-fave episode ‘Over the Rainbow’, in which Angel and Wes head to Pylea and meet for the first time, Fred."
