Born in Atlanta, Georgia, but raised in the town of Delaware just north of Columbus, Ohio since the age of four, Clare Kramer first became interested in acting when she graduated from high school at age 17 and moved to New York City to study at New York University’s prestigious Tisch School of the Arts, earning a BFA degree. Clare moved to Los Angeles, California shortly thereafter to pursue her acting career there.

Through the 1990s, she appeared in numerous stage plays including one turn as Helen Keller in the stage version of The Miracle Worker, the lead role in Light Up the Sky at the acclaimed Lee Strasberg Theater Institute, Beyond Therapy at the John Houseman Theater, and Begnnings at Circle in the Square.

She began appearing it small and bit parts in films like In & Out (1997) and Vig (1998). She first rose to attention in 2000 in the cheer-leading comedy Bring It On (2000) appearing alongside Kristen Dunst and Eliza Dushku in playing the hard-nosed cheerleader Courtney. At the same time, she was cast in a recurring role as Glory, the vain hell-goddess on "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" which also gained her some acclaim on television as one of Buffy’s most popular adversaries.

Clare from then has gone to work in both major studio and independent films, most notable being the independent feature Ropewalk (2000), a supporting part in The Mallory Effect (2002). She had a minor part in Roger Avery’s feature adoption of Brett Easton Ellis’ The Rules of Attraction (2002), as well as the villainous lesbian seductress Lucy In the Sky in the short film D.E.B.S. (2003). She was also cast in lead roles in The Skulls III (2003), the independent film Mummy an’ the Armadillo (2004), and Guy in Row Five (2005) and had an amusing small part in L.A. D.J. (2004).

Clare also appeared on television in a few guest appearances on Sabrina the Teenage Witch, The Random Years, and Tru Calling. She continues to work for both stage and movie roles most recently with the horror flick The Gravedancer.

She is also active in various charity functions first working in Central Ohio’s Recreation Unlimited back in 1992 and as a summer camp counselor in 1993 at a YMCA camp for children with physical disabilities. Summer months from 1992 to 1997 she taught young adults with development disabilities at the Young Adult Institute in New York and worked during the summer of 2000 at LA’s Camp Laurel and partook in a 2002 bicycle race to raise money for Children International, and is currently does charity work for the non-profit organization, kids 4 kids.

Each Christmas, she goes to the church with her family then wanders in the city admiring the lights. She and her little sister still hide in the stairs to see her parents putting the gifts under the tree. In the morning they all have a big breakfast together when they choose what they eat and when they open their presents. They then play cards.

While shooting ’The Mallory Effect’, she played pool with the Director and beat him.
