Important News ! Sky Tv To Save Angel ?

Friday 23 April 2004, by Webmaster

British Sky Broadcasting is the operator of the UK’s largest digital television platform and a leading broadcaster of sports, movies, entertainment and news.

Confirmation from an inside source at Sky Tv :

"Sky offered to pick up part of the production costs for a new series of Angel, and all they needed was another network to do the same and it would carry on."

The reliability of the source has been checked with Sky Internal Documents.

Sky TV is run by Rupert Murdoch who owns FOX, so he has some influence in these matters.

If this fantastic deal does go through and the WB renew angel for a 6th season will that mean as sky will be paying part of the production costs that It would have the rights to show angel at the same time as the WB?

That’s fantabulous! The Save ANgel Campaign must now bombard even more other networks mentioning that and right away send stuff to thank SKY TV!!!

It’s WAY too nice to see an English station making a difference to Angel and Buffy fans. Sure, it plays the episodes, but this just RULES. And if Fox takes it up. . . well. . . .am I the only non-American to boycott WB? (Though I do anyway, seeing as I don’t have it here in Engand) but what do you all think?

That’s an awesome idea. We should thank SkyTV for their support and let them know we’ll do anything we can to help. Can anyone out there provide us with an address and a plan, please?

I hate to rain on the parade but I think this is unlikely. David Boreanaz seems relieved it’s over and his contract is up so he’s unlikely to go for it. If they continued the series without Angel or with him as only a guest star it’s possible, however. If that was the case I suppose they would have to change the name though...

Not loveing the past tense, maybe it’s just me or dose this sound more like Sky offered and couldn’t get it to work? Either way I love Sky! Even if all they did was offer it shows that they at least listen to their viewers and fans of the show.

I’m movin` to England! LOL This would be great. Finally a network that knows good TV.

By the way, someone said Boreanez was reliazed it’s over. That’s not true, he said he would like to do this show for years to come.

Yes Sky Tv is great for doing that. I live in the US and even if they pick up the show it would be a little bit before it plays here. But honestly I really wouldnt care how long it took because as long as they dont totaly take off the Buffy universe from the world ill be happy.
