Tuesday 5 December 2006, by Webmaster

Union Chapel : Friday 4 May

Prepare to make a date with James Marsters as he heads to London next year for an acoustic concert showing new songs and old favourites from Civilised Man.

He will be appearing in his only major concert date in the UK at the atmospheric Union Chapel in Islington on Friday, 4 May 2007.

Tickets cost £20 and are available from wegottickets.com. All seating is unreserved and there are a limited number of disabled places. The groundfloor has wheelchair accessibility.

The Union Chapel is one of the best kept secrets of the London Music Scene and has a reputation for bringing music lovers the best live concerts. It has been awarded The Time Out Live Venue award and was also nominated as one of the 100 reasons to remain in London. Performers who have appeared in concert at the venue include David Byrne, Goldfrapp, Bjork, Beck and Patti Smith.

The Union Chapel is also a working church and an award-winning venue and homeless project. Situated in the heart of Islington, it promises exceptional acoustics and "creates an ambience and intimacy between audience and performers unlike any other venue in London."

The Highbury & Islington tube station (Victoria Line) is nearby as is the mainline station. Bus routes are 4, 19, 30, 43, 271, 277 and 279.
