James Marsters - ’The Mountain’ Tv Show - More Details

Tuesday 12 October 2004, by Webmaster

This is the reverse of Anne Heche moving to "Everwood." James Marsters, Spike on "Buffy," will guest star on "The Mountain" as Penn Badgley’s father. I’m glad to see the WB taking care of one of their own and, of course, delighted to see James Marsters, but (insert whine here) did it have to be on "The Mountain"?

  • Who knows? Maybe James will save The Mountain. Certainly the spoilers make it sound like a very trite and cliched part but James can be amazing. He came onto Buffy as a disposable villian who was supposed to die within an episode or two. Six years later he ended the series and without him I doubt it would have lasted so long.

Anyway, I’m looking forward to seeing it! I’ve been missing James a lot.

  • I’m hoping this is part of a package deal with the WB. A "Help save our dying show and we’ll give you a development deal for a show of your own" sort of thing.
  • Just because James is going to be on it i have watched the first few episodes of this Turkey! This show is so lacking in depth it’s hard to stay awake. Same old same old and its no Angel! This may proove to be a mountain that even marsters can’t climb!
  • I have watched the first episodes of the Mountain just to see what it’s like and I’m afraid even JM can’t climb this dungheap. Could they be just a little more superficial? Same basic premise as Six Feet Under but without the talent and writing! Poor James he deserves so much better! Who knows miracles might happen! WB this guy needs his own show! He is a goldmine!

  • I will watch it. I didn’t particularly like AtS, but I watched that because James was in it. I’ve watched everything I could get my hands on that he has been in, whether I liked the project or not, because I like James.
