Joss Whedon - Slashfilm.com on the "Wonder Woman" Movie

New Wonder Woman Movie

Before there were Daisy Duke Shorts, there was Wonder Woman’s star-spangled spandex. Now, I’m a little too young to have felt the first prick of manhood while watching the TV series with Lynda Carter back in the ’70s. And after seeing some of these photos, my younger self is sad; he just died a little inside for having missed it.

Joss Whedon, once again proving how much he likes women who kick ass, will helm the as yet untitled Wonder Woman film. In case you are keeping score, we’ve got Buffy, Faith, Angel, that freaky chick from Serenity and, if you watched the series finale of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, 10,000 other Slayers. I’ll give you sometime to process that David Boreanaz insult. Before the emails start flying: read this.

Eliza Dushku is hoping, probably begging, after short run of her television series Tru Calling, to be in the title role.

All I have to say is: Eliza Dushku in star-spangled spandex. I think I just felt a prick.

Quick note: I had no idea Lynda Carter was in the Dukes of Hazard movie when I wrote that line.
