In time-period premiere news, Fox’s Point Pleasant wasn’t so pleasant, with a mere 4.1/ 6 in the overnights (#3), 5.60 million viewers (#4) and a 2.7/ 7 among adults 18-49 (#3). It’s a bad result.

Running the premire opposite ALIAS wasnt the best idea, but this is FOX...if it aint a reality-based-game-show than it will get no pub and flop in the ratings...soon to be cancelled.

Sorry...I dont like FOX much since they couldnt recognise they had a good show with Firefly. Tru Calling was ok but this Point Pleasant seems to have alot more directions to go in.

I didn’t think it was so bad at all! I think it needs a chance to find a niche. It was better than most of the stuff on network right now!

That’s odd I just seen a promo for this week’s show and fox was all like..."21 million people made point pleasent a hit see why Thursday" ..I was under the impression that it did fairly well...it didn’t seem that bad.

Re: 21 million thing: That’s why I checked on this article too, I was under the impression it’s in danger of cancellation. But I think they counted the people who continued to watch after American Idol, there must be a number of them who saw hte first 5 minutes or so, it’s just that most of them did not stick around the entire hour.

i saw the first episode and i wasn’t really impressed by it. i think what really turned me off about it the show is that i live in Jersey, and none of that even resembled the real Point Pleasant. yeah, i know its supposed to be focused on this chick and not the actual town, but for someone who lives close to Point, its just a disapointment.
