Michelle Trachtenberg - "Spalding Gray: Stories Left To Tell" Play - She joins David Boreanaz

Friday 8 June 2007, by Webmaster

Producers Eric Falkenstein and Michael Alden have announced an eclectic and exciting June line-up for the acclaimed Naked Angels production of Spalding Gray: Stories Left To Tell, at the Minetta Lane Theatre (18 Minetta Lane, Greenwich Village). Each week welcomes a new guest actor into what has become the "go to" place for celebrities seeking to trod the boards in one of the best reviewed, hippest and most heartfelt plays in New York.

Christopher Gorham, perhaps best-known as accountant Henry Grubstick on "Ugly Betty," will play the role of "Career" (currently being played by TV heartthrob David Boreanaz), beginning June 12 (through June 17). On June 19, TV and film star Michelle Trachtenberg ("Buffy, The Vampire Slayer") will play take on the role (through June 24). Boreanaz ("Bones") began his stint as "Career" last night, Wednesday, June 6 (through June 10).

The producers have also announced that soap-opera veteran Darnell Williams, of "All My Children" fame (and currently on "Guiding Light"), will take over the role of "Journals," stepping in for original ensemble member Ain Gordon. Williams joins the cast on Tuesday, June 12.

Spalding Gray: Stories Left To Tell features an ensemble cast of five including Kathleen Chalfant, Hazelle Goodman, Tony-winner Frank Wood and a rotating special guest actor.

Spalding Gray is "one of the most revered and irreverent storytellers of our time. He became an indelible image: sitting alone at a desk on a bare stage, delivering hilarious and moving monologues that had a singular resonance with his audiences. Conceived by Kathleen Russo, Grayıs widow and directed by Lucy Sexton, Spalding Gray: Stories Left To Tell assembles both well-known and never-before-seen work spanning Grayıs extraordinary life and career," state press notes.

Performances are Tuesday through Friday at 8:00 p.m., Saturdays at 3:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. and Sundays at 3:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. Tickets are priced at $35 - $65 and are available by visiting www.ticketmaster.com or phoning (212) 307-4100. In addition, tickets can be purchased directly from the Minetta Lane Theatre box office by phoning (212) 420-8000.
