Fast National ratings for Sunday, April 15, 2007

CBS started and ended the night strong to score an overall ratings win over ABC Sunday, while FOX’s "Drive" got stuck in traffic.

For the night, CBS averaged a 7.6 rating/12 share, just beating ABC’s 7.3/12. NBC finished third at 4.7/8. FOX, 3.3/5, came in fourth, and The CW earned a 1.3/2.

ABC rather easily won the adults 18-49 demographic with a 4.3 rating. CBS, 2.9, grabbed second. FOX was third at 2.4, followed by NBC, 2.0, and The CW, 0.8.

CBS’ "60 Minutes" ruled the 7 p.m. hour with an 8.0/14. "America’s Funniest Home Videos," 5.0/9, put ABC in second. "Dateline" drew a 3.7/7 for NBC. A pair of "Simpsons" reruns averaged 2.8/5 for FOX, good enough to beat a "7th Heaven" repeat on The CW.

A rerun of "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition," 6.3/10, moved ABC into the lead at 8 p.m. "The Amazing Race" posted a 5.6/9 for CBS, holding off a second hour of "Dateline" for second place. The premiere of "Drive" drew only a 3.7/6 for FOX. A new "7th Heaven" on The CW delivered a 1.9/3.

"Desperate Housewives," 10.3/16, drew the night’s biggest audience for ABC at 9 p.m. "Cold Case" scored a 7.7/12 for CBS, while NBC remained in third with a "Deal or No Deal" repeat, 5.4/8. The second hour of "Drive" dipped slightly to 3.4/5. The CW finished its night with an "America’s Next Top Model" rerun.

CBS regained the lead at 10 p.m. as "Without a Trace" earned a 9.1/15. ABC got a 7.7/13 from "Brothers & Sisters," while "The Apprentice" averaged 4.1/7 for NBC.

On Saturday, drama repeats and "48 Hours" averaged 4.6/9 to give CBS a victory. FOX was second at 3.8/7, followed by NBC, 3.3/6, and ABC, 2.7/5.
