Nathan Fillion

Nathan, the soap opera, and the "Joss Whedon is my Master" t-shirt

Saturday 8 April 2006, by Webmaster

"PvP" cartoonist Scott Kurtz passes along some intriguingly odd Nathan Fillion TV appearance news — and gives approval for the use of his t-shirt on-air....

Kurtz writes in the daily strip’s news section:

Got this email from a fan:

"In case you haven’t heard this yet. Nathan Fillion is going to make a cameo on his old soap opera. One of the characters is a fan trying to get his autograph. The fan will be wearing a ’Joss Whedon is my master’ T shirt.

I got this from my wife who knew him from when he was on the soap. She saw his pic on a super market rag and read this. I don’t have any more details than this but I can try to get them. She is going to buy the rag when she sees it again."

And then this:

"I have not been able to confirm this or get my hands on the rag myself...there is a follow up article which says they can’t show the shirt on TV due to copyright. She says the article says there will be a referance made to the shirt but the character can’t wear it. I don’t know when it will air. She says the soap this will happen on is General Hospital but google says the soap he was on was One Life To Live."

If anyone out there knows more about this or can contact the people involved, I hereby give you permission to use the shirt on the show. I will sign a release to that effect. Use the shirt! I think that would be totally awesome.
