No Sarah Michelle Gellar In Buffy Toon

Wednesday 16 June 2004, by Webmaster

The June 20 issue of TV Guide reported that voice actress Giselle Loren will take over Sarah Michelle Gellar’s starring role in a proposed animated Buffy the Vampire Slayer TV series, for which a pilot is being produced. Sources told the magazine that Gellar chose not to reprise her role, leading creator Joss Whedon to recruit Loren, who previously voiced the character in the video game Buffy the Vampire Slayer and its sequel, Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Chaos Bleeds.

Other Buffy regulars-including Alyson Hannigan (Willow), Nicholas Brendon (Xander) and Anthony Stewart Head (Giles)-will voice their characters in the pilot, the magazine reported. The pilot will be screened for potential distributors next month, TV Guide reported.

what bugs me about the TV guide article is it is written as if she just backed out. She never had any plans to do this show and we knew it two years ago. Sarah is too busy with movies right now and I say fantastic to that. she is not the only one who is not doing this series. David Boreanaz, Michelle Trachtenbeg and Charisma Carpenter aren’t in it either. It ticks me off the way everything is blamed on Sarah Michelle Gellar from the end of Buffy to not appearing in the final season of Angel. True fans know its all crap.

Blah, who cares. Giselle Loren does the voice great! She did the voices in the video games.

Well isn’t that a surprise? Sarah Michelle Gellar usually puts everything into Buffy, appearing in every extra, always smiling and the rest of the Buffy cast have nothing but praise for her. NOT.

If people are fans of Sarah, you’d think they would want her to move on. I certainly do. If your not a fan of Sarah’s, then whey do you give a crap if she’s doing the voice or not. I’m so glad she’s getting past Buffy. She’s one of the few people who have extrodinary talent on that show. I’m glad that she and Charisma, David, and Michelle are moving on. I wish Alyson would. She should never have made that last American Pie movie. That’s all she’s known for. She’s scared to death to try something different. Sarah has worked her butt off for 7 years. She sign a contract commiting herself to that show for the rest of her life, so you guys who are mad because she’s not doing it, get over it.
