I’m no Trekkie

I’m afraid the Insider’s impeccable political antennae have, for once, let him down in outing me as a Star Trek fan (Oxford Mail, February 15).

As any self-respecting sci-fi buff knows, a devotee of Doctor Who - which I am - is most unlikely to be a Trekkie.

As for attending Trekkie conventions, not in a million light years! advertisement

However, the Insider has me bang to rights as an aficionado of Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

I ought to make a feeble joke about slaying my opponent’s majority at the next election, but I’ll resist.
