Robia LaMorte Asks for Fan Support

After being fired by her now ex-booker, Robia is asking her fans to help her attend a Vulkon convention that she was canceled from.

i really need everyone’s help.

my ex booker julie caitlin brown has fired me because i am so difficult. as you all know i am a big diva and very high maintenance!! yeah right.

she is now trying to sabotage my relationship with vulcon. they have cancelled me from the show.

i have emailed them. i hope everything works out because i do love doing the shows with them and have always had a great relationship with fernando and joe.

i ask that you ALL would contact vulcon and share with them your experience with me and let them know that you want me there.

thanks alot you guys.

ps. this is spiritual warfare. you know i was going to have a God panel there and have an opportunity to talk about God to hundreds of people. the enemy is trying to stop what’s going on.

this is all very upsetting to me, and it would mean alot to me if you would all help. thanks alot. you all mean alot to me.

love robia

hi everyone, you guys are all great, thank you. just spent some time praying and this is what i got:

God is my defense and my vindicator. no person can stop me from doing what God would have me do. i am believing that somehow, someway i will be at Oakland, but if not that my relationship with vulcon would be restored quickly.

it is not surprising that the enemy would try to block me from being able to bring God into these cons. however God has the final say! no weapon formed against me shall prosper! i know that if i just wait on God that in His time He will vindicate me. the truth always comes to the light!

so, i am choosing to handle this in the most Godly way possible. i am trusting that God will work this out somehow for my benefit! romans 8:28!

i know this may sound crazy, but i actually feel kind of excited. it is in times like this that God can be God, and i’m looking forward to seeing the outcome of this situation!

hey, no julie did not fire me because i wanted to do a God panel. she decided that i was difficult to work with. she decided to fire me, but went the extra mile to try to get promoters to no longer use me. it will all work out after oakland. i’ll explain more later! love you all!

#4. Posted by Robia hey gang.

thanks again. here’s where things stand. i highly doubt that Oakland will happen. don’t think vulcon wants to do anything against JCB. however i have had some VERY interesting conversations today. there is no doubt in my mind that all this will work itself out in the next couple of months. i’ll fill you all in when i can. you will be one of the firsts to know!

as for Oakland i think even a million emails wouldn’t change the situation unfortunately. but there will always be more cons.

i am so sorry for all who are planning to attend that i won’t get to meet or meet again. hopefully in the near future!

you guys are the best! love you! robia

wow, there have been some pretty interesting posts on various fan sites regarding this. so since this post will probably make it up somewhere let me just add:

i don’t hate JCB. we are not working together anymore. i only wish that she had just decided to stop working together and not try to interfere with my relationships with promoters.

also, i am not trying to preach to people or force my beliefs on anyone. during q and a’s i have been asked questions about my personal life. i have shared about my Christianity in my answers because my faith is a big part of my personal life.

a number of people were interested in knowing more. they went to the promoters and requested that i have a separate talk just on my faith. the promoters then asked me to do that which i did. anyone interested could attend. those not interested did not.

it’s as simple as that.

none of this is that big of a deal. i will work with someone else. i will do more cons. i am disappointed that i won’t be going to Oakland, but there will be more cons. i really like the fans and especially love the group of people that i have gotten to know better through my site.

What the hell... is this convention thing so important to her???

She is so desperate for money?

I like Robia. I enjoyed her as Jenni and I have enjoyed seeing her interviews on TV. I don’t have a problem with her Christianity, even with it being the most important thing in her life and what she wants to talk about. It’s all about diversity. She’s beautiful and has as much talent as most people on TV. Now I don’t have much tolerance for people like Pat Robertson but I don’t think she falls into that category. Since I have become a Christian I am interested in seeing how performers can integrate their beliefs into careers without being pushy or boring about it so it’s interesting to me how different people handle that. I find that Jesus’ teachings fit right into my left wing political beliefs.

I’m sorry Robia is having problems and hope she can keep doing cons and get other work as well. She’s had an interesting life and, I think, has an interesting perspective.

Anyone else beyond frightened by the fact those posts alone make her sound like a crazy hard to work with person? *shudders* Perhaps a little more work and less ramming religion down everyones throats may be a good new direction..?

this has got to be a hoax people, it is probably a joke from some juvenile kid who’s got too much free time. I don’t believe that robia wrote this, I mean she is christian now, but she wouldn’t shout it from the rooftops like this. Probably someone who isn’t a fan of her or even JCB herself. this is too sad for words

I had to look up her name cause I couldn’t remeber what character she played. It says her most current project was a short film. The link I have posted is the home for the film and has it in several different formats. I have not watched it yet so I can not recomend it or tell you what it’s about.

I can see her being fired if she is truly difficult to work with, but not because of her spirituality.

I’m of the Pagan religion and I think it would be nice to have something like that, too many people in this world walk around with faith in nothing. I would rather have faith in something rather than nothing.

I don’t see her as trying force her Christianity on people but opening up doors for people by sharing her own experiences. I’m not Christian but I have shared my belief with others because of the experiences that I have had with being Pagan.

I say let her do it, if not in Oakland then at another con. In this day and age everyone needs Faith, no matter in what religion it comes from.

I have to say that I’m not suprised to hear this about JCB. She was so rude and bitchy at the Moonlight Rising 2004 con in June. What’s surprising to me is that she has a problem with Robia discussing her own personal views with fans. At MR 2004 JCB had no problem discussing her views and ideas. She was pretty pushy about them too. In fact, she acted quite superior and was condescending to people all weekend. Even when she was onstage or performing. I feel bad for Robia, I hope things work out for her.

Alright as someone who has met both Robia and Julie I must say that Robia is a lovely woman who loves the chance to meet her fans and Julie is a fucking bitch that wont let fans enjoy meeting their favorite actors, a moment they’ve been waiting for. At this years Moonlight Rising Julie was on the stage screaming at people, implying they were stupid, acting "too cool" (just being a total bitch), and really was bringing down the positive atmosphere that was in the room. She is so selfish and not a people person at all. I didnt get why James Marsters (a nice guy) has such a controlling bitch bossing him around. Everyone else was talking to you when they signed for you, some where signing To Whoever-, some where taking pictures. But when it came to James she was like dont talk to him! He (actually Julie) doesnt want to hear your life story. No signing to you, no photos, shake his hand, get the auto and move on. She is really a mean self-involved person and I hope James finally realizes this and fires her ass. I also hope Robia can overcome what Julie is throwing at her. Thanks for reading :)
