Fox re-elects ’American Dad’ through ’13

Laffer extended through seventh term

Fox has extended its order for Sunday animated sitcom "American Dad" through the 2012-13 season.

The seventh-season renewal for the series, which was already picked up for its 2011-12 sixth season, gives exec producers Seth MacFarlane, Mike Barker, Matt Weitzman, Kenny Schwartz, Rick Wiener and Nahnatchka Khan a jump on the long animation process.

Upcoming guest voices for the "Dad," according to Fox, include Anjelica Huston, Elisabeth Shue, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Burt Reynolds and Cee-Lo Green. Series regulars are MacFarlane, Wendy Schaal, Rachael MacFarlane, Scott Grimes and Dee Bradley Baker.
