Sarah Michelle Gellar

Christopher Young, one of the most prolific composers in the horror genre (Hellraiser, The Fly II, Bless the Child, Urban Legend, Species etc), is back in familiar dark territory. He is currently working on the score for The Grudge, the American version of the Japanese horror 2003 hit .

The US version is directed by Takashi Shimizu, who also did the original version of the film. The film, which opens on 22 October, stars Sarah Michelle Gellar and is produced by Sam Raimi and Robert Tapert. The music in the original Japanese version was composed by Shiro Sato.

The Grudge is Christopher Young’s first horror score since Bless the Child (2002). His other upcoming film scores include Hide and Seek and Lasse Hallström’s An Unfinished Life.
