Horror has a new queen, now that The Grudge star Sarah Michelle Gellar has signed on to star in another supernatural thriller, Revolver, for director Asif Kapadia (The Warrior) at Focus Features’ Rogue Pictures. The story revolves around a savvy, successful saleswoman whose vivid nightmares drive her to investigate the mysterious death of another young woman 25 years earlier. Adam Sussman wrote the script. No start date has yet been given, but Aaron Ryder is producing via his Raygun Productions. Amy Kaufman and Kahli Small are the Focus executives who will oversee for the studio. This is Rogue’s freshman year, and, dealing mostly in horror pix, it has already released U.K. import Shaun of the Dead and is about to release Seed of Chucky. 2 Forum messages |
