Melbourne, Dec 22 (ANI) Sarah Michelle Gellar will lend her voice to the iconic April O’Neill - the journalist and friend to the turtles in ’Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’.

The former ’Buffy the Vampire Slayer’ star will be sharing the microphone with Patrick Stewart, Zhang Ziyi, Chris Evans and filmmaker Kevin Smith.

Evans is the hockey-stick-swinging Casey Jones, and Smith voices a vignette as a greasy-spoon chef, but the Turtles themselves will not have star voices.

The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (TMNT or Ninja Turtles) are a fictional team of four turtle mutants, who are trained by their sensei, Master Splinter(a rat), to become skilled ninja warriors.

From their home in the sewers of Manhattan, they battle petty criminals, evil megalomaniacs, and alien invaders, all while remaining isolated from society at large.

The turtles are named after renaissance painters as Leonardo, Michelangelo, Donatello and Raphael. (ANI)
