Sarah Michelle Gellar - "The Return" Movie - She deals With More Undead Snooziness

1. Cast Sarah Michelle Gellar in the lead. (Newly brunette, so as to show her acting range.)

2. Have the story be about a woman who’s being haunted by a long-dead stranger.

3. Call it The Return.

4. Make sure it’s rated PG-13.

5. Use this trailer as promotional material.

Meh, maybe I’m just being extra-nasty for no good reason. I’m certain that The Return, which comes from a first-time screenwriter, a second-time director and a studio division generally known for inconsistent output, could be a phenomenally excellent horror movie.

Actually, no, I’m not. Flick opens on November 10th. DVD by the end of February.

  • Oh, how amusing. The person who wrote this has not actually seen the film, so what’s the point? He clearly thinks he is being being clever but he really isn’t. As to Gellar being "newly brunette", surely everyone knows her natural hair colour is brunette and she was brunette in all her TV and film work up to the point when she signed to BtVS. She reverted to being a brunette again after ’The Grudge’, which was not far short of two years ago now.
  • can’t argue with the truth. thanks for printing it.
  • I have seen the trailer and I must say this does look like a rather chilling film, but I still cant help seeing ’The Grudge’ when I see the trailer. Theres simply too much similarity in the phrases used to draw viewer in e.g.’Long after a murder has been committed...touching anything that comes too close...The past never dies’ are all the same kind of story as The Grudge. It does, however, seem like a different kind of scary than The Grudge seemed to give. But I am it is going to be quite a hit. Dont get me wrong I am a huge Sarah Michelle fan and have been since the age of 6 but ever since the end of Buffy it does seem Gellar is falling into a type-casting way of the horror/thriller genre which is dissapointing because she has the abilty to take on many different roles so I only that the future holds much more sucess for the talented Sarah Michlle Gellar.
