Sarah Michelle Gellar : The next Dido ?

Wednesday 3 November 2004, by Webmaster

Hollywood babe Satah Michelle Gellar has been reportedly touting herself as the next Dido as she looks for a recording deal.

The Grudge star famously sang in the musical episode of Buffy, The Vampire Slayer in November 2001 and has been telling friends she would love to follow in the footsteps of actress-turned-singer Minnie Driver.

British newspaper Daily Express reports Gellar said: "I have written quite a few numbers and I’m looking for the right record deal.

"I want to show the world the other side of me and I think I have a similar sound to Dido, so look out for me."

I bloody well hope not, i hate it when people get record deals just because there a well done actress/actor, that said, if she has talent, then go for it, though i’ll still not like it, anyway no matter where i see her, she is still Buffy Anne Summer’s, like when i saw the trailer to the grudge, i just thought buffy :)

This b*****ks came from the Daily Express, a scumbucket tabloid. It is a complete fabrication, just like the equally ridiculous rumours that Gellar was going to star in a film version of ’Sabrina the Teenage Witch’, that she wanted to be the next Wonder Woman, and that Holly Valance was going to take over the role of Buffy.

It is complete garbage, a pack of lies. Do NOT take it seriously.

The Daily Express? The same Daily Express that printed, and defended, Robert Kilroy-Silk’s borderline rascist, inflammatory comments?. Right... there’s one damn reputable paper for you. Excuse me if I choose not to take this one too seriously. But in Bizarro World, God help us if she did. What market anywhere in the world would buy that? She’s a great actress, but she cannot sing. Possibly one of her ’is it sarcasm or isn’t it’ comments taken a little too seriously.
