Buffy the Vampire Slayer star Sarah Michelle Gellar is already keen to film a sequel to her new movie, The Grudge, and it hasn’t even been released yet.

The horror movie is a remake of Japanese film Ju-On, which already has a sequel.

Teen Hollywood asked Gellar if she had spoken to the film’s producer about a sequel.

She replied, "No, we haven’t really. I mean, knock on wood, but let’s wait until it comes out. I would go back to Japan in a heartbeat."

Gellar also told the website that the sequel wouldn’t be identical to the original.

She explained, "Tonally, it’s incredibly different. It’s much more in the vein of a Scream movie. It’s about an actress whose career is kind of washing up and she gets this gig sort of like one of the unsolved mystery shows in America.

"She has to go back and do an interview at the house that no one’s been in since four years ago when [the events of first movie] occurred."
