Actress Sarah Michelle Gellar says she is happy actors are no longer restricted to performing in only one format.

Noting how years ago actors rarely moved from TV to film or vice versa, Gellar said she is glad to see this doesn’t seem to hold true today.

The 27-year-old actress started out on the daytime soap opera All My Children, then starred in the night-time drama Buffy the Vampire Slayer, while acting in movies like Scream 2, Scooby-Doo and The Grudge."

There are no rules any more, Gellar declared. "It’s up to the individual.

When I first went out to Hollywood, television stars were never the leads in movies. They weren’t even considered, which seemed odd to me because I loved television actors.
