Celebrities Are Just Like You and Me

A slew of star sightings are this weekend’s talk of the town, confirming yet again that celebrities are just like you and me.

Take for example Leonardio DiCaprio seen putting a dollar coin into a parking meter and jamming the darn thing up, then throwing his hands up in frustration when he realized he’d probably end up getting a parking ticket. Or what about Katie Holmes, seen this weekend in Beverly Hills shopping with Victoria Beckham...at a local Crate & Barrel store where one was overheard saying to the other, “Do you think they’re having a sale?”

Or what about that celebrity sighting of Paris Hilton, seen eating an ice cream cone from the bottom up (biting the bottom then sucking ice cream through the funnel) after taking a penny from a local Ben & Jerry’s tip dish, just to cover her ice cream purchase? And what about Charlie Sheen, seen moving his car so that the meter maid’s chalk mark on his tire wouldn’t be seen the next time they came around the block?

There’s been a slew of other sightings this past week of celebs doing things just like you and me. Katherine Heigl from Grey’s Anatomy was seen hitting her brakes to keep a tailgater from driving too close. Sally Field was seen squeezing squashes at a local outdoor farmer’s market. Neil Patrick Harris of TV’s How I Met Your Mother was spotted at a local Hollywood gym staying on the elliptical machine for over 30 minutes (which was the posted limit of time one could stay on the fitness machines), then resetting the clock so no one would know he’d been on for like fifty minutes. Or what about WFME’s favorite Sarah Michelle Gellar spotted out and about smoking a pack of cigarettes, and addicted to the darn things just like you and me!?

And across the coast, in Gotham, SNL’s Andy Samberg was spotted with mustard on the corner of his mouth, Alec Baldwin was seen adjusting his shoe, Jack Nicholson was overheard complaining about an uncooked doughnut, and let’s not forget reports about Jim Belushi buying stamps from an ATM! Just like you. And just like me.

It’s nice to know that celebrities are real people.

    whats the big deal with this. so sarah smokes. most actresses do anyway. on the other hand she shouldn’t pretend she doesn’t smoke like she does in all of her interviews.

    Dunno man I’d have to see it to believe it, because Sarah’s a health nut, perhaps it was for a role. In a Girl’s Guide, Jane...er...Brett is a smoker, or she was in the book.

    Oh ok....Maybe shes a social smoker..I have friends who only smoke when they drink..and only 2 or 3 smokes...Not like a really hooked smoker like I USED to be...YES i gave up..Still Sarah..NO SMOKING..BAD ..

    SMG has been seen smoking many times, going back to the early years of BTVS. It is only because there are no photographs that it even remains an issue, despite what she says to the press.

    some of the other boards on SMG claim that Sarah has been a closet smoker since 1998. always in private and away from the camera although that Davidson dude on which this story is based has seen Sarah smoke on a number of occasions not just the sighting at Opium Den last in Hollywood last week

    Closet smoker or not, the fact that she did smoke brings to mind the fact that she gave James Marsters such a hard time for his smokers breath when kissing scenes came up.

    whatsthishere, potter, sitch is linking to this article all over the internet. It’s the same guy with the same obsession over and over again. He does it every three months or so to annoy SMG fans. Last time he tried passing off a very badly photoshopped pic of Sarah on the red carpet at the Teen Choice Awards over at IMDB. The fraud was discredited very quickly, with fans finding the original untampered with picture. He’s got this article linked to an E! Online Insider discussion forum. It wouldn’t surprise me if he feed the original story to the PaulDavidson.net He’s sent similar fake stories to Gawker in the past.

    In the past, SMG has admitted to trying smoking and she has appeared in smoking roles. I don’t have a problem with smoking. There doesn’t seem to be any real evidence that Sarah smokes in real life. I’ve talked with a couple of people who have spent several hours onset with her and neither of them have witnessed her smoking.

    OK!!!!! I am sick to DEATH...of this subject!!! SARAH DOES NOT SMOKE!!!! Where are the pictures???HUH? She has repeatedly said for years how bad it is for one’s skin and health...and we (HER TRUE FANS!!!!) know she’s a health nut...and just so by the way, is she was a smoker, Sarah wouldn’t lie about it, she’d admit it and possibly try to quit. And is she was a "Closet-smoker" whatever that is...there would atleast have been one picture by now of all her years of her celeb status!!! Please who evers making up this crap stop it now...

    i feel bad for saying this, but SMG really is a bitch and you can’t deny it. The fame and fortune have really gotten to her and all she thinks about is how great and wonderful she is, and for her to play "Buffy" again would be a waste of her talents and she made that perfecly clear. I used to be a devoted fan of her, but now I see that I like the character "Buffy" and not her, because she shows that "Buffy" and her are the opposite, being "Buffy" the notion of goodness and Sarah the notion of "Bitchness" and I am not surprised that she did this, because it is on her blood and I feel really sorry for her husband, always cleaning up her mess... SMG fans, you are blind or you don’t want to see the truth, and the truth is SMG IS A BITCH!!!!!!!!
