Serenity

1. Serenity: One truncated, out of order season of Joss Whedon’s addictive western space opera Firefly wasn’t enough. And one movie to wrap up the show’s unresolved mysteries wasn’t enough, either. I need to know what River’s capable of now that she’s free of her burdensome secret, and what Simon and Kaylee are like as a couple. I want to see Zoe as a steely, vengeance-driven widow. And I’d pay to see Nathan Fillion and Adam Baldwin in anything, especially as the charismatic Captain Mal Reynolds and the hilariously immoral gunslinger Jayne Cobb. Two hours of those characters talking about the weather would probably be more entertaining than anything in the entire Scary Movie franchise.
