ROBOT CHICKEN & STAR WARS GALAXIES COLLIDE FOR ADULT SWIM SPECIAL

Seth Green and Matthew Senreich’s Stoopid Monkey Productions in conjunction with Alex Bulkley and Corey Campodonico’s ShadowMachine Films will premiere "Robot Chicken: Star Wars" on June 17th at 10 PM on Adult Swim. "Robot Chicken: Star Wars," a 30-minute special directed by Green, combines the satirical sensibilities of Green and Senreich’s Adult Swim cult hit "Robot Chicken" with the unforgettable moments and favorite characters of the Star Wars universe including its creator himself, George Lucas.

In addition to the ultimate get of having George Lucas himself voice his stop-motion animated likeness for the special, Mark Hamill voices Luke Skywalker in one sketch. Other noteworthy voice actors including Conan O’Brien, Seth MacFarlane, Malcolm McDowell, Hulk Hogan, James Van Der Beek, Robert Smigel, Donald Faison, Abraham Benrubi, Breckin Meyer and Joey Fatone.

Green says, "the special is a funny and ironic take on the Star Wars universe. We’re thrilled to be able to collaborate with Lucasfilm Ltd. and to have fun with the very property that shaped our sensibilities." "It’s a cliché to say, but this is a dream come true," says Senreich, "how many people can say that George Lucas let them play with his entire Star Wars universe and do ’Robot Chicken’-like things to it?"

Adult Swim’s Mike Lazzo and Keith Crofford serve as executive producers.

"It’s been fantastic to collaborate with Lucasfilm Ltd., they have such a good sense of humor about their Star Wars empire," says ShadowMachine’s Campodonico. "Poking fun of Star Wars would typically make your knees shake,"adds Bulkley, "Not only did George Lucas endorse it, he actually went into the booth and recorded a sketch for the special."

"We were big fans of the work that Matt and Seth had done, so when they approached us about the idea to make a ’Robot Chicken’ episode dedicated to Star Wars we were really enthusiastic about it," says Tom Warner, Senior Director of Marketing for Lucasfilm Ltd.

"Robot Chicken: Star Wars" was created and executive produced by Green and Senreich. The duo also executive produce, write and direct the series, with Green providing many of the voices in the special and the series, which begins its third season later this year. ShadowMachine’s Bulkley and Campodonico produce the series and the special and "Robot Chicken" series head writers/producers Tom Root and Douglas Goldstein also wrote the special and direct many episodes of the series. Other writers on the special were "Robot Chicken" series scribe Mike Fasolo with Breckin Meyer, Hugh Sterbakov, Jordan Allen-Dutton and Erik Weiner.

Green and Senreich’s Stoopid Monkey Productions have a current two picture deal with Dimension with ShadowMachine’s Bulkey and Campodonico also producing.

Seth Green began his career at age 7 and has starred in films for over two decades including "Without a Paddle," "The Italian Job," "Party Monster" and all three "Austin Powers" movies. He continues supplying the voice of Chris Griffin on Fox’s "Family Guy."

Senreich began his career at Wizard Entertainment where he was editorial director. He has written pilots for Fox and he and Green previously created and executive produced a series for Sony’s website. Bulkley and Campodonico’s ShadowMachine also produce the Adult Swim show, "Moral Orel" and Bulkley co-wrote and directed while Campodonico produced the 2006 ThinkFilm release "The Zodiac." Root and Goldstein also began at Wizard Entertainment and Root is writing/producing one of the films in the Stoopid Monkey/Dimension production pact.
