Supporting Libraries With a Vengeance - DVDs of Buffy, Angel and Firefly

Tuesday 26 April 2005, by Webmaster

DVDs of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel the Series, and Firefly are multiplying like bunnies at public libraries thanks to fan donations to the Whedonverse Multimedia Project. Now the Project has set up a raffle drawing to entice fans to grant the wishes of even more libraries requesting these materials. Doing so may win a fan their very own vengeance demon action figure set.

(PRWEB) April 26, 2005 — Thanks to $3,000 in fan donations, the Whedonverse Multimedia Project has been able to provide 74 seasons worth of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel the Series, and Firefly DVDs to public libraries.

Now the Project is calling on fans to help supply DVDs to the following institutions on its waiting list:

· Chattanooga-Hamilton County Bicentennial Library - Tennessee
· Delton District Library - Michigan
· Round Lake Area Library - Illinois
· Playa Vista Branch Library, Los Angeles Public Library - California
· Horicon Public Library - Wisconsin
· AnySoldier.com - Care Packages to Iraq
· Robbins Library, Arlington - Massachusetts
· Fullerton Public Library, Fullerton - California
· Salisbury TAFE Library, Salisbury - South Australia

As an added incentive to donate, the Project is raffling off a limited edition Book of Vengeance action figure set valued at $50. The set includes Anya, her demon alter ego Anyanka, and her Vengeance Demon mentor D’Hoffryn.

From now until May 14th, every $5 you donate will automatically enter you into the raffle drawing. Each donation will be assigned a number based on the order in which it was received and the winning number will be chosen at random. Please see whedonverse.org for complete details.

The recipient of the prize will be announced on May 19th, a date that will not fade away in the minds of "Angel" fans as it marks the anniversary of the finale of the series. Organizers of the Project thought at least one fan should be able to say on that day: "Vengeance is mine!"

About the Whedonverse Multimedia Project The Whedonverse Multimedia Project is a fan-based organization whose mission is to bring Joss Whedon’s Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel the Series, and Firefly to public libraries and charitable groups that have requested help in adding them to their collection.
