This time of year means some changes at the TV networks. At Fox, popular “Malcolm in the Middle” is wrapping up for good, “The O.C.” continues to heat up with the return of Marissa’s sister and a fun new reality competition show called “Skating with Celebrities” will pair experienced, championship figure skaters with celebs, many of whom have never skated.

At a new hot club in Hollywood called Citizen Smith, actors and other celebs met with the press to share great food, a party atmosphere and dish the news on their work in established shows and new ones. Picture David Boreanaz in snazzy jacket chatting about his new show “Bones”, the stars of “24” entering together as a tame mob, the cast of “Malcolm” hanging together like a family with hugs all around, etc. Over at a secluded corner table, The O.C.’s Mischa Barton, in white, pleated crepe dress with red belt, was leaning in to share some private girl talk with castmate Rachel Bilson in pretty flowerprint frock. We didn’t want to interrupt the intense, personal chatter ... maybe about boyfriends, current and ex?...but we ran into Mischa later.
