E.T star on The Inside

Ol’ Moviehole Bud Peter Coyote ["E.T", "Sphere"] has joined the cast of FOX’s retooled series, "The Inside", which started filming in L.A last month.

Coyote, who stars in two new "Return of the Living Dead" sequels in 2005, recently played Dennis Ryland on the series "The 4400". We can report that he’s on "The Inside" for the long-haul.

The show centers on a young, ambitious FBI agent (Rachel Nichols) who is assigned to the agency’s Los Angeles Violent Crimes Division and can easily work her way "21 Jump Street" style undercover in highschools.

Adam Baldwin, Jay Harrington, Willa Holland, Hira Ambrosino and Kimberly Scott ["7th Heaven"] also star in the show.

Tim Minear, of "Buffy" fame, was hired to write a new template for the show after the first script was met unfavourably. (Minear isn’t the only ’Buffy’ link to the series : They’re filming "The Inside" on all the old "Buffy" sets).

There’s whispers that "The Inside" might soon change its name to "Southland", so stay tuned.
