USA to Move Into ’The District’ Come September (smallville mention)

LOS ANGELES (thefutoncritic.com) — "Law & Order: S.V.U." is about to get some company as the USA network will add repeats of "The District" to its weekday schedule beginning next month.

The cable channel will kick off its run with two "best of" marathons on Saturday, September 11 (12:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. eastern) and Monday, September 13 (7:00 a.m.-7:00 p.m. eastern) before settling into its regular, thrice-a-day time periods of 11:00 a.m., 12:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. eatern time on Tuesday, September 14.

"The District" is one of 10 series earning a cable berth in the next month or so: TNT will add "Without a Trace" on Monday, September 27 at 11:00/10:00c; FX gets the animated comedy "King of the Hill" on Monday, September 20; "C.S.I.: Crime Scene Investigation" upgrades to five nights a week beginning Monday, September 13; "Boston Public" graduates to WE: Women’s Entertainment on Monday, September 27 at 7:00/6:00c; ABC Family adds the WB trio of "Smallville," "Gilmore Girls" and "The Jamie Kennedy Experiment" starting in October; while A&E serves up "C.S.I.: Miami" and BET hangs out with "Girlfriends" later this fall.
