After going on hiatus due to Mutant Boosters closing, The Whedonverse Multimedia Project is back! You can find us at: http://www.whedonverse.org

The Project seeks to donate Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel the Series, and Firefly DVDs and related merchandise to public libraries, hospitals, shelters and other charitable causes. If you’ve made an individual contribution of DVDs or books to a public library or other organization, there’s a tally on our site where you can tell us about your donation.

Website owners and other fan organizations who wish to promote the campaign can ask their visitors to enter their affiliation with your site when posting a donation in our online tally. The site with the most donations gets bragging rights.

The project as a whole is accepting donations via paypal to purchase DVDs to send to libraries that have requested them and to libraries that have been nominated in honor of a favorite Whedonverse actor, writer, etc. This way fans can pool their resources together and have items sent to libraries that they may not be able to send individually.

Our first goal is to send a complete set of Buffy, Angel, and Firefly DVDs to the New York Public Library in honor of Joss Whedon. We hope to raise enough funds to have the items at the library by February 13th, 2005 to mark the anniversary of ANGEL’s cancellation and show that the fans have not faded away. We will have more details about this goal soon.

Given the Tsunami Disaster, the Whedonverse Multimedia Project is not requesting financial contributions at this time; instead we encourage you to support one of the disaster relief organizations which you can find at: http://www.google.com/tsunami_relief.html

Thank-you for your support!
