Joss Whedon confirms "Spike" Tv Movies with Illyria & Willow !!

Big scoop came in earlier this week. Joss Whedon’s been in town recently promoting SERENITY, and got to speaking with our new (and highly anonymous) scooper. "He told me that it’s 99% likely (his words) that a new series of "Buffy" and "Angel" TV movies of the week will be happening soon. Spike will be the kick-off point followed by, hopefully, one with Illyria (sp), and Willow - depending on ’everyone’s schedules, naturally’. In addition, he told me he’d like to get an unknown to play Wonder Woman, though Charisma Carpenter will ’at least get to test... she’s got the look’. But yeah, I get the feeling he’ll be flying the flag for a Brandon Routh-like newbie, one thing he did say was interesting though... something about fancying a tall Amazonian-type." Apparently Whedon also said something to the scooper about casting Michael J Fox to make WW look even taller. I’m not sure about that last one, though, sounds like a bit of a leg pull.

Awesome! I wish SMG would star in at least 1 of them though, it’s too bad she never wants to do Buffy again. Oh well, I would love to see an Illyria & Willow movie!

I’ll believe it when I see it. This could end up just like Ripper and the cartoon. We have quotes for Joss last week saying everything is just being talked about. He said hed love to use Willow *if* AH has the time. Now some *anonymous* source says its a fact??? I will love BTVS 4ever and will watch whatever new things come about but Im not getting any hopes up over an anonymous source.

Charisma would be the best choice for WW. I thought Joss already stated none of the Buffyverse stars would get the role. Why let Charisma try out for the role if she isn’t going to get it anyway? And I thought Alyson Hanigan said she wasn’t interested in doing a movie at this time and that the Angelverse has more open storylines than the Buffyverse? I’ll believe this article once I finally see a movie released. Won’t believe it til I see it happen.

This is NOT a conformation.
Although AICN is reliable there is no guarantee that Joss said these words, and even if he did say these words the numbers 99% should say to you that its anything but confirmed. 100% means confirmed. 99% means very probable, but not confirmed. Your subject line is misleading and incorrect.

Looove the idea for a Spike movie, I’m happy that the idea is a full one. It may not be fully confirmed yet, but its good to know that it has a big chance of happening. I’m not too excited about Willow and/or Illyria being in it though..they are 2 of my least favorite characters. If it’s going to be a movie based around Spike, they should have Clem, Drusilla, Harmony ect. be in it. Ya know, the people who relate to Spike most whom are still alive (or undead) and around for filming, unlike SMG..as we all know.

"Newton" am with ya, but don’t gets hopes up. Queen/Slayers: Tara as voice of the "Slayer power" in Africe, she’s has great precidance doing. Making her a higher being (and Anyanka) was a bit much if ask me. However, a "Higher Being" did intervene and just those times (Angel 5.12 "You’re Welcome"). After getting Angel "on track", PTB’s could have let her visit Africa, summon Tara, would then awaken the "dead slayers" of the past to save Xander (Queen/Slayers book, Tara does all this, & gives Xander a Anya visit & a healing Willow/Dawn info). Cordellia "owes" Xander (For the prom dress at least "well, duh"). Thought the Immortal was going to be Whistler (a real PTB), but changes that... Oz & his pack o’ wolves that can "change" at will, like in "Underworld" (sort of) was cool, except the pack didn’t help.
Well all this news above is bogus when it doesn’t come from anywhere. (Inara/Moreana is the Wonder Gal, will take all bets). Illyria? Willow II, not following. Better: Drusillia attempts to exercise Spike’s soul the Gypsy way and fails (would work on Angel, not Spike). Angel tries to prevent her trying and another bigger Spike/Angel Cup o’ Torment ensues. Drusilla (failing) gets the idea to get her own soul back (just like Spike got his for Buffy, she’ll get hers for Spike). Spike is worried she’ll fail, when Slayer Dana (Angel 5.11 Damage) shows up (still crazy, tormented by visions past — shouldn’t all slayers be sharing dreams like Buffy/Faith did, this is slayer lore when only one slayer existed, dreams of past slayers help prepare the new one). Dana is vision led to seek healing with Drusilla (who is tormented by visions future, she has the sight — hey a true candiate for PTB visions, if she’s resouled the sight works for good as was meant to long ago). And the end game: Drusilla is the "Vampre with a Soul" of the Shanshu & Prophercies of Aberjian, and Dana/Dru save the world by killing all televison network executives and installing Saddam Hussain to watch dog Howard Stern in his change-over to Satellite Radio. But I digress. There should be a movie...
