Re. your "Buffy" choice .... ah guys, were you really watching this series after season Two? Because otherwise, how could you have picked Becomming pt. 2 over "The Gift"? I think "is she dead or alive or in another dimension" is a tad more of a cliffhanger than "will she return to Sunnydale?"
